At a time where the internet decides visibility, diversity online is incredibly important. Tricha launched a project to create South Asian GIFs: online “stickers” that authentically represent Indian cultures. In the first month, the inaugural launch of 5 Bhangra GIFs reached over one million views internationally, with the entire project amassing over 353 million views to date.

TrichGIFs are the internet’s first-ever widely accessible GIF series that accurately portray South Asian dress, dance, and culture. Currently, over 100 Bhangra, Bharatanatyam, Garba, and Diwali TrichGIFs are available on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and more!
